MEANING IN THE WEAVE
The Diamond is used as a focus for meditation and referred to as ‘the Sacred Eye.’ It is powerfully protective. Sometimes interpreted as a Lantern shape, it lights the way on the Shaman’s journey to the afterworld. Inside the Diamond, the weaver has placed a DORK TAWAAN, a Sun motif, also known as a Buddhist Sunflower.

WEAVERS’ NOTES
This textile is made of handspun and naturally dyed cotton yarns grown in the Houaphan Province of Laos. It has been woven for you by Ms Yothla and Ms. Chanthy of the Taileu Tribe in the traditional KHIT method. Patterns woven in this method are reversible. Slight differences in color, pattern and yarn add to the beauty of this artisan made textile.
CARE
To preserve colors, wash in cold water, gentle cycle, mild detergent. Do not bleach. Pre-treat stains as they arise. Line dry or dry flat for a softly rumpled look. Iron while damp if desired.
Natural dyes will patina over time.
